Welcome to Kevin Buckwalter's Yola website!

Dr. Kevin Buckwalter’s dedication to practicing medicine has given him the opportunity to open his own private practice, and his current successes are a result of the great achievements of his past.

Kevin Buckwalter earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno. Buckwalter explored experimental neurology during that time, conducting research with Dr. Agyli, Department of Zoology, on Glial regeneration in an insect’s Central Nervous system. Buckwalter also volunteered with the Red Cross, assisting in blood drives in the Reno area. Because of his qualities of leadership, dedication to study, and stellar academic record, Buckwalter earned a United States Achievement Collegiate Award and a Las Vegas Numismatic Scholarship while at the university. It was also during Buckwalter’s studies at the University of Nevada that he decided to dedicate his professional life to the medical field.

Buckwalter studied medicine at the Ross University School of Medicine in New York, graduating in the top 10% of his class and making the Dean’s List multiple times. Buckwalter also earned the opportunity to complete a study about the involvement between Latex and Myelodysplastic Children with Shriners Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Showing promise during his internship with the Department of Surgery at the Pennsylvania State University Hospital, Buckwalter completed his residency at the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Outside of his medical studies, Kevin Buckwalter researched and authored a book of his family’s ancestry, entitled John Edwin Buckwalter Sr. and Descendants, 1834-1979. Buckwalter also selflessly served for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a missionary to the State of Georgia. Buckwalter also earned his license to practice in two states, California and Nevada. He is certified in many components of life support, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. After serving at two hospitals in Henderson, Nevada and Porterville, California, Dr. Kevin Buckwalter achieved his dream of operating his own private family practice in Henderson in 2001.
